In summer school when I was about 3rd grade, I was not good at English. Some guy who was younger than me started to call me "Nick." I had no idea why. Since all I knew were "yes" and "no", I replied "yes." Then other people started to call me Nick, even the teachers. When the teachers asked me for my English names, people shouted "Nick" while I said "yes."
Now this had caused some problems. At the last day, when I thought this "Nick" thingy was over, the school opened up a parents and teacher conference. My mom attended the conference, but no one knew her son in thet school. Later, she found out that I was Nick not Steve. I have kept my name a secret.

Well I think this secret was a "petty" one compared to the secret of the father of the main character which involves a huge war where everyone will be affected. The book is Lost Names; it's really good. Nice blog by the way
nice secret nick.
hey nick
isnt nick santa claus? watever
im going to call you nicky. HEH HEH
icky nicky looks like vicky oh so icky your so sicky
hey nick you should have just kept your name as nick. i understand because u were not very good at englishㅋ anyways many people get picked on if they are sturggling
good story
That's such an interesting moment! It highlights that idea of identity: what gives us our identity? As Juliet says in the famous balcony scene, "What's in a name? Can a rose by any other name smell as sweet?" (II.ii). If someone were suddently to start calling you by a completely different name, wouldit change who you are at all? Nice post!
HOWEVER, you still haven't done your first post about the novel. This weekend, please create two more substantial posts about your novel. For each post, focus a different one of the following: setting, plot, characterization, and theme.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
excuse me but nick is like waaaayyyyy better than Steve!!!! jkjkjkjk So, I"m guessing you've learned a bit more english now right?? except for the fact that you call me beck?? I mean....wut is that?? I could call you "Nick" or..."Sung" (short for sungbin...hahahaha) take your pick.

I like your secret hehehe. So, your mom never knew about "Nick" until the PTC? Anyways I wonder why that guy called you Nick randomly. Amazing you remember it as well.
Anyways I also liked to keep secrets from my parents about school: I got in trouble, this guy calls me blablabla, I am struggling with so and so. Not these days, but I used to when I was in kindergarden. They used to have this green card, yellow card, blue card, red card and so and so. When I got a yellow card for bad behavior, I didn't want to tell my parents. Guess you had a similar feeling as well, or was it that you didn't recognize that you were known as Nick as well. Anyways, confusion of names also troubled me as well. Remember David Song 9th grade? I got called by the dorm parents for confusion of grades between his and mine, and the teacher for Drama class kept giving me his grade. Thanks to that I got to know some of his secrets. Anyways, confusion about names is very irritating and tiresome.
what were you doing in an american school if the only thing you knew was yes and no?
